The NBA's Media Day took place yesterday with players from all teams posing for official pictures for the upcoming season while treating the media to sound bytes for the upcoming season. Dwyane Wade took the opportunity to show off his new partnership with Jordan Brand in style by rocking the Black/Red Air Jordan Retro XI. If this is a taste of what's to come from Jordan Brand and D. Wade, we might be in for something serious.

4 Rings

We'll take a nice close look at the upcoming quickstrike. Inspired and dedicated to Kobe's four championships, the Four Rings Nike Zoom Kobe IV features a Lakers Yellow and Purple upper with a Purple fade to Yellow on the upper. Material wise, the Four Rings Nike Zoom Kobe IV features a mix of patent and leather. The underside of the tongue features the Kobe puppet hand wearing four rings and the footbed features a graphic of four NBA championship rings.
No exact release date available for the Four Rings Nike Zoom Kobe IV yet. Once I hear something, I will post it.

New Spizikes

During the holiday season last year, Jordan Brand released two classic colorways of the Spizike model in which many of you rushed to the retailers in hopes of purchasing. However, we have now spotted yet another Jordan Spizike that draws inspiration from some of our favorite Jordan sneakers.
At a first glance, this shoe seems to be thrown together color-wise; yet, JB portrays a theme on this particular Spizike. Specifically, it draws minimal color scheme inspirations from the Air Jordan 3 “True Blue”, the Air Jordan 3 “Cement” and the Air Jordan 3 “Fire Red”. The predominately white leather upper obviously ties all three classic sneakers together seeing that they all posses this attribute. As added features, this shoe features a repeated text of, “Do You Know” on the inner lining and a photo of Spike Lee paired with the words, Fresh Since 1985 on the insole. No word yet on when this shoe will release.

Another Kobe 4

Though there are still several Nike Zoom Kobe IVs in the pipeline, there is one pair that may not make it to the public, the Gold Medal/NBA Championship Nike Zoom Kobe IV. The Gold Medal/NBA Championship Nike Zoom Kobe IV pays homage to Kobe's historic achievement of winning the Gold Medal at the Summer Olympics and the NBA Championship in the same season.
The Gold Medal/NBA Championship Nike Zoom Kobe IV features a combo colorway inspired by the Beijing Olympics and the Lakers with it's White upper and Gold, Purple, and Red accents. The Gold Medal/NBA Championship Nike Zoom Kobe IV also features a Black Mamba print, a graphic of the Black Mamba on medial toe, and alternating colored Swooshes. Finally, the package is tied together by the footbeds which tell the Gold Medal and NBA championship story.
